New Philips technology will guide you to the products when you are in the supermarket. 18 February 2014 pm. 18:57 Philips has oofentliggjort a new concept where their bulbs can communicate location-based data directly to your smartphone. The idea is to guide people around the shops and give them good deals along the way. Philips
- The beauty of the system is that retailers do not have to invest in additional infrastructure touch lamp to be installed and have the power, in order to support indoor positioning. According to Philips, as forms bulbs together a 'grid' where every bulb can identify where the customer is located. Philips does not go into detail about exactly how their system communicates data to the user, but the camera on the phone can be used to detect the light signal from the bulbs. Similarly, it is not clear how much power their solution absorbs from the phone. Tested just now in stores
